About Gene Johann
An avid outdoor enthusiastic and active member of the Hartford Conservation and Gun Club, Gene Johann died on September 7, 1990 at the age of 44 after a two-year battle with colon cancer.
Because of his love of competitive shooting, his fellow members and friends have chosen this pledged trap shoot fundraising event as an appropriate memorial for a special friend. The event dubbed “Shoot for a Cure” raises money for childhood cancer research which ultimately has a positive effect on adult cancers as well.
